Weather At Pasatiempo

Few locations in the world can rival Santa Cruz, CA for ideal, year round golfing conditions. Pasatiempo is located just above Monterey Bay and north of Pebble Beach, which means the course enjoys cool summers, low humidity, and virtually no precipitation. In Contrast with San Francisco, or other towns along the California coast, Pasatiempo gets very little fog.

In the winter, the average daily high in Santa Cruz is just over 60 degrees with very little wind even in the coldest months. Pasatiempo’s sandy soil also provides outstanding drainage, which means that the course is open and in good playing condition when most top courses around the country are closed.

“I have always wanted to live where one could practice shots in one’s pajamas before breakfast, and at Santa Cruz the climate is so delightful that one can play golf every day in the year, where it’s never too hot and never too cold, and if it should rain it usually does it at night.”
